A leading Calcium Aluminate Cement producer for the last 100 years.

History

1925-1993

The Calucem Group, a spin-out of HeidelbergCement and with Calucem’s first Private Equity investor, Mid Europa Partners, was formed on the 1st of July 2006.

1993-2002

For the next 70 years, Pula cement factory changed its ownership and organizational structure until privatization in 1993 when it became majority ownership of the German group Heidelberg Zement, changing its name to Istra cement international, and as of 2002 to Istra cement.

2006

When it became privately owned by a fund in 2006, the company was renamed Calucem.

2021

As of November 2021, Calucem is part of Molins' strategy to offer innovative and sustainable solutions for the construction sector.

We tightly control the production process through our on-site quality laboratories in Croatia and Spain. In our plant in Barcelona, we are ISO-certified in quality, environmental and energy management. And in our plant in Pula we are as well certified in occupational health and safety management.
